Spotify is rolling out a new feature that allows users to follow specific music venues, providing direct access to concert schedules and event updates within the app.
Manage Your Live Music Calendar
By following a venue, users can save these locations directly to their library. This dedicated section enables fans to browse full event calendars, view upcoming concert information, and receive specific announcements. To enhance discovery, the platform also includes a filter tool that allows users to sort upcoming shows at these venues by musical genre.
To ensure the information remains current, the company is shifting its live event feed to update on a daily basis, a significant upgrade from the previous weekly schedule.

Ticketing and Competitive Landscape
The user experience remains consistent regarding ticket procurement: fans can tap on listed shows to be redirected to ticketing partners. While Spotify briefly experimented with selling tickets internally in 2022, the company has not signaled plans to expand that venture. Instead, it continues to rely on strategic partnerships with major ticketing platforms like Ticketmaster and Live Nation to facilitate transactions directly from artist profile pages.
This launch follows the introduction of the “Concerts Near You” playlist earlier this year. That feature provides a weekly curated list of 30 songs from artists performing in the user’s vicinity, accompanied by essential details about their upcoming tour dates.
The push for better live event integration is becoming a broader industry trend. In February, SoundCloud mirrored similar efforts by partnering with Live Nation and Ticketmaster, enabling artists to display upcoming tour schedules directly on their respective profile pages.
