FieldAI, a robotics startup founded in 2023, has raised $405 million to develop universal artificial intelligence models capable of powering robots across diverse industrial sectors, including energy, construction, and urban logistics.
Scaling Universal Robotics
Since its inception last year, the company has successfully secured multiple industry contracts, though it has opted to keep its specific client list confidential for the time being. This massive capital injection is earmarked for accelerating research and development, scaling production capabilities, and facilitating a strategic international expansion.
A New Paradigm for Robot Intelligence
CEO Agha likens the company’s technological philosophy to human evolutionary biology. By prioritizing adaptability and rapid learning, FieldAI aims to create systems that function effectively in unpredictable, multi-environment settings rather than being limited to single-purpose tasks.
“You evolve to be able to do various different tasks in different environments, and you have the ability to rapidly learn; we believe that is a necessity in robotics,” Agha explained. “Yes, definitely you can optimize for one specific use case, but that is not the market we are going after.”
