Healthify has officially upgraded its AI assistant, Ria, introducing real-time conversation capabilities and a persistent memory layer built atop OpenAI’s models to deliver highly personalized, context-aware health guidance.
Advanced Memory and Contextual Intelligence
The startup is implementing a persistent memory layer to ensure Ria retains long-term context regarding user preferences and physiological changes. This evolution allows the assistant to move beyond generic responses, offering tailored suggestions based on the user’s unique health journey.
Seamless Integration with Human Coaches
Healthify is expanding Ria’s role by integrating it directly into consultations with nutritionists and coaches. The assistant now acts as a bridge, retrieving data or answering queries when human professionals are unavailable. Furthermore, Ria can join live calls to provide real-time transcriptions and actionable insights, allowing both users and coaches to query data instantly during sessions.
CEO Tushar Vashisht noted that the development team specifically trained Ria on years of historical conversational data between coaches and users, ensuring the AI provides grounded, accurate, and clinically relevant advice.
Competitive Edge in the AI Fitness Market
While competitors such as Alma, Cal AI, MyFitnessPal, and Ladder offer voice or image-based food logging, Healthify claims a distinct advantage. By combining live conversation modes, cross-platform data aggregation, and specialized training, the platform is doubling down on accountability. Additionally, the app now features a gallery-scanning function that automatically detects food photos, simplifying the process for users who forget to log meals manually.
“We are focusing on creating a health ecosystem of nutrition-driven data with other integrations. From an AI perspective, we are putting in levers to solve for accountability in users when it comes to health,” explained CPO Paritosh Kumar.
Expansion and Future Outlook
With over 45 million registered users and millions of monthly active users, Healthify is launching a new U.S.-based AI subscription tier priced at $20 per month, which includes the updated Ria assistant and enhanced meal planning features. This follows a period of testing various text-based AI models and certified coaching services.
Looking ahead, the company intends to announce strategic partnerships centered on GLP-1-aided weight-loss programs. Healthify also plans to integrate data from third-party health-tracking devices into Ria within the coming months. Given the platform’s rapid adoption and growth in the U.S. market, Vashisht indicated that the company may pursue a new funding round in the near future.
