Khloe Kardashian Enters Snack Market with $12M Khloud Launch

The Kelly Clarkson Show - Season 4

Khloe Kardashian has officially debuted her new food brand, Khloud, launching a protein-infused popcorn line that will arrive at Target retail locations on April 29.

Securing Major Backing

Following reports last December that Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, were seeking $10 million in funding for the venture, the company successfully closed an oversubscribed $12 million financing round. Jessica Bixby, an associate partner at K5 Global—one of the key investors—confirmed the successful capital raise.

The brand has attracted a high-profile roster of backers, including Serena Ventures, William Morris Endeavor (WME), and Shrug Capital.

Product Innovation and Availability

The flagship product features whole-grain corn coated in “Khloud Dust,” a proprietary blend of milk protein and seasoning that provides seven grams of protein per serving. Beyond the retail launch at Target, the popcorn is available for purchase directly on its website.

“We’re starting with popcorn, but that’s just the beginning,” Kardashian stated. “We plan to expand into other snacking categories across the store, there’s so much room to reimagine everyday snacks.”

The company’s core mission focuses on delivering more nutritious snack alternatives formulated with “clean” ingredients.

Expanding the Kardashian-Jenner Empire

While the Kardashian-Jenner family has built an extensive business portfolio, this launch represents their first formal entry into the snack food industry. Given the family’s documented affinity for specific foods—often highlighted by their large social media following, including a dedicated Instagram page—the move aligns with their strategy of capitalizing on consumer interest.

Celebrity-led ventures have historically dominated sectors like haircare, beauty, and spirits. The Kardashians have already established a footprint in these categories, and with the launch of Khloud, they are now extending their commercial reach from household cleaning products into the pantry staple market.
