Meta has officially launched “Meta Small Business,” a company-wide initiative designed to bolster global entrepreneurship and accelerate the integration of AI tools, as Axios reported this Wednesday.
Empowering Entrepreneurs Through AI
In a company memo, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg emphasized that small businesses have long served as a cornerstone of the company’s business model. With tens of millions of entrepreneurs currently leveraging Meta’s platforms to scale their ventures and engage with consumers, the organization is now shifting its focus to deepen its commitment to this demographic.
Zuckerberg’s Vision for the AI Era
“In the AI era, it should be easier than ever for people to build new businesses,” Zuckerberg stated. “We want to build the services that enable this. This is important for ensuring that people broadly share in the prosperity created by superintelligence.”
Strategic Leadership and Internal Mobilization
The new division, Meta Small Business, will be spearheaded by two veteran executives: Meta President and Vice Chairman Dina Powell McCormick and Head of Product Naomi Gleit.
To drive this initiative forward, Zuckerberg has issued an internal call to action, inviting designers, engineers, product managers, and other staff members to contribute their expertise to the project’s development.
