In September 2024, TikTok significantly bolstered its search capabilities by launching “TikTok Search Ads Campaigns.” This keyword-driven advertising solution allows brands to position their content directly within search results, signaling the company’s intent to capture high-intent traffic that traditionally flows toward search engines like Google.
Current Rollout and Functionality
While the integration of reviews could fundamentally change how users interact with local business content, TikTok has remained tight-lipped regarding a wider release, declining to provide comments on future product roadmaps.
Current observations indicate the feature is still in a limited testing phase. In independent tests, the review tab functionality appeared inconsistently, appearing only on a subset of videos that included specific location tags.
